Common Desk, a repeat client, selected Scott + Reid for the finish-out of this first-generation coworking center at 3400 at CityLine in Richardson, Texas. The 31,234-square-foot suite displays a style unique to this location while still achieving the client’s required overall brand experience.
To accommodate the differing requirements needed by their clientele, the space offers a combination of collaboration areas, conference rooms, customizable private offices, and three enterprise-centric hospitality suites. In addition, professionals are offered a full-service espresso bar, cocktail lounge, break rooms, and several relaxation areas.
A focal point for the space is an internal staircase comprised of natural wooden treads and a floor-to-ceiling metal trellis spanning the two floors, providing a distinct backdrop. Additional highlights of the contemporary space include an open-to-deck ceiling concept, diamond polished concrete flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, specialty wall coverings, a custom lighting package, and glass and wood office fronts.
Scott + Reid collaborated with Common Desk’s millwork partner for the installation of considerable woodwork, metal framing, and glass. To cohesively integrate this work with other trades and avoid disrupting neighboring tenants, the project team developed a comprehensive schedule based on critical work hours. Consistent communication ensured the schedule was met and the project was completed on time.
