Goosehead Insurance, a fast-growing agency and franchiser, hired Scott + Reid for the 21,000-square-foot renovation and 16,000-square-foot expansion of its corporate headquarters at the Terraces at Solana business park in Westlake, Texas.
A series of open workstation call center floors is balanced with multiple huddle rooms, break areas, and conference rooms. A unique component to the space is the 1,800-square-foot Discovery Day Room. Comprised of a wood paneled ceiling, oiled teak laminate walls, and flexible seating options to accommodate more than 60 people, it provides a perfect space for teleconferencing and presentations.
The intentional design and extensive detailing is apparent as soon as you enter the suite. The elevator lobby is finished with unique Arktura panels that accent the extensive use of floor to ceiling glass. These panels have been incorporated into each collaborative work area and complement the high set ceilings, marble countertops, and custom lighting.
Excellent communication and coordination at field level ensured the project team overcame obstacles, including a difficult MEP installation due to high ceiling heights and a partially occupied space that needed to remain fully functional during construction. Scott + Reid was also tasked with locating existing finishes to cohesively join the original office space, completed by a different general contractor, with the expansion. The finished headquarters is an authentic workplace that differentiates Goosehead Insurance from its competitors, demonstrating the company’s pride in its people and business.
Upon successful completion, Scott + Reid was requested to bid additional projects and was selected for the finish-out of their Fort Worth, Texas office.
