Peloton, the technology company that revolutionized the fitness industry with its internet-connected stationary bike, hired Scott + Reid for the build-out of their 27,518 square feet of office space at Legacy Central in Plano. A key regional campus, this facility marks a milestone for the client by serving as the first member support center located outside of New York City.
Taking cue from the aesthetics of the client’s products, the design is focused on simplicity and minimal but meaningful accents and details. Free-standing feature walls clad in sleek black tile, a living wall displaying the Peloton logo, warm wood lattice along the ceiling, frameless glass doors and large-scale wall graphics reflect the client’s vision for their space. Incorporation of accent colors in green, black, and the brand’s signature red-orange provide a visual contrast to the natural elements used. The space included numerous workstations with sit-to-stand benching, eight huddle rooms, four conference rooms, 12 phone rooms, a boardroom and a training room.
Working with a strict 12-week timeline necessitated diligence by the project team in their collaboration and communication with the client, architect and subcontractors to ensure the electrical integration needs were met and the special finishes were installed on time. The end result is a customer care center reflective of Peloton’s brand and vision to create a peaceful, health-giving environment for their team members.
