Common Desk partnered with Scott + Reid for the 26,500-square-foot build-out of their coworking space in Addison, Texas. Spanning two floors within the recently developed Fourteen5 office complex, the suite offers a unique aesthetic while still ensuring the brand experience is consistent with their other locations.
To support this client’s mission of providing collaborative workspaces and exceptional amenities, this site offers professionals a mix of private offices, team spaces, shared and dedicated desks, in addition to multiple game and lounge areas. Specially curated art pieces from local artists, abundant natural light, high ceilings, wood framed glass office front, wood and steel ceiling elements, a structural staircase and specialty light fixtures are a few of the design details incorporated into the finish-out.
A unique component of this project was teaming with Common Desk’s millwork partner to ensure the substantial amount of woodwork used throughout the space was delivered and installed on schedule. Certain elements, such as the coffee bar cabinetry and concrete countertops, required careful coordination and planning with other trades to ensure all components were properly constructed and seamlessly integrated. Frequent communication between the Scott + Reid project team, client, architect and trade partners guaranteed the vision for this shared office environment was brought to fruition.
