Scott + Reid transformed a vacant, near-condemned building in Houston into Alara Garage—a climate-controlled automotive storage and service facility tailored for exotic and luxury vehicles.
The renovation included a new roof and façade, upgraded MEP systems, and a full interior buildout. Highlights include a hydraulic car elevator spanning three floors, 12 lift bays, detailing stations with trench drains and separators, a carwash, and a back-of-house shop for mechanical prep and restoration.
Designed for more than function, the facility also features a cigar lounge, wine cellar, climate-controlled art studio, and the Founder’s Lounge—a hospitality-style space with sweeping views of the garage and custom finishes. A private office suite with dedicated amenities completes the experience.
Equal parts workshop and showroom, Alara Garage blends industrial-grade performance with refined design. The project was a finalist for the Houston REDNews Real Estate Awards, with Scott + Reid continuing to lead its phased expansions.
