Scott + Reid delivered a ground-up new construction project for Calloway’s Nursery’s expanded garden center in Dallas, designed to enhance the shopping experience for gardeners across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The project includes a 2,200-square-foot retail and office building alongside an 8,500-square-foot steel-framed greenhouse. Built on a challenging floodplain, the site was carefully elevated in collaboration with City and FEMA officials to ensure long-term stability and regulatory compliance.
Calloway’s unique combination of expert plant knowledge and quality products is reflected in the thoughtfully designed retail space, featuring wood framing, stone veneer wainscoting, HardiePlank siding, and a metal panel roof. Inside, bright, open areas with floor-to-ceiling slatwalls and sealed concrete floors create an inviting environment where gardeners can easily browse and discover. Efficient office and support spaces keep daily operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
With doubled retail space and expanded parking, this new center provides a convenient, welcoming destination tailored to both casual shoppers and dedicated horticulturists, supporting Calloway’s ongoing growth.
