As Mayer Law continued to grow, the firm selected Scott + Reid to build out its new office at Four Oaks Place in Houston, Texas. The two-floor, 25,000-square-foot workplace was designed to accommodate more than 50 attorneys, balancing efficiency with a sophisticated, modern aesthetic.
The first floor welcomes visitors through a reception area leading to four conference rooms, private offices, an open work area, and a break area. The second floor serves as the firm’s primary office space, anchored by a revitalized elevator lobby with custom wood trim, more than 30 perimeter offices, an accounting area, open collaboration spaces, a large break area, and an additional conference room. Throughout the space, solid-surface quartz countertops, a custom arched feature with floating shelves, and large Herculite glass doors with a distinctive checkered pattern define the aesthetic, while custom millwork and ceramic tile in the executive offices add refined, unifying details. Unforeseen structural steel discovered during first-floor demolition required close coordination with the building, work the team managed by resequencing activities and prioritizing the second floor to keep the project on schedule.
Scott + Reid was subsequently selected to complete Mayer Law’s new Dallas office, extending a partnership that reflects the firm’s growing reputation for high-quality legal workplace environments across Texas.
